THE FEMME SIDE TABLE

The Femme Side Table is as unique in its appeal as it is in how it is made.  

This sought after piece is hand carved by artisans from Solid tree trunks. It is produced using a range of techniques over many months to get its unique and characteristic design. 

Production/Sustainability Process:

Solid tree logs sourced from farms and are placed in a kiln for a period of time and then they are cut and crafted to shape and size.  They then are left to air-dry naturally therefore drying time can depend on the current climate, time of year etc.  Small hairline cracks are formed and therefore form part of the nature of the character that makes the Femme Stool unique. The process continues as these trees are re-planted to make more baby femmes.
