Nic Holden is an artist and designer from New Zealand who lives in Mallorca, Spain, with her two

children. Her journey in design and architecture began as a teen, when her family decided

to build their home out of earth brick. As a curious teen, the process of making their own

air-dried earth bricks, and then seeing those bricks come together to form a house, left

a lasting impression. Holden would go on to study architecture, interiors, furniture and

lighting. She worked for many years as a design lecturer and practitioner, before pivoting

to innovation, startups, and human-centred design, consulting for large companies.
